“Transmission business revenue growth was driven by newly commissioned JKTL and WRSS XXI (A) and recently commissioned lines. Distribution revenue increased on account of a consistent uptick in energy demand," the company said in a release.

The repricing of higher rates began after strong U.S jobs growth in January, with employment rising 517,000, more than double economists expectations. The unemployment rate hit 3.4%, the lowest in more than 53 years.

The February futures contract of Nifty 50 traded on the Singapore Exchange indicates a positive start to domestic equities. The contract was trading at 17,832, up 71 points or 0.40% from the previous close.

Tata Steel reported a surprise consolidated net loss of Rs 2,224 crore for the December quarter. The company had posted a profit of Rs 9,572 crore in the last year period and Rs 1,514 crore in the previous September quarter. Revenue from operations, meanwhile, dropped 6% year-on-year to Rs 57,083 crore.

Analysts, on aggregate, cut the consensus target by 1.15% to ₹713.76 per share, as per a Bloomberg poll of analysts. This represents a 31% upside potential from the current levels.

These loans against shares (LAS) were taken by promoter entities and backed by share pledges. ET was first to report Monday morning that about ₹8,000 crore of LAS was being prepaid by the Adani family, hours before a formal announcement.

Power transmission and distribution company Adani Transmission of diversified Adani conglomerate on Monday announced its earnings data for the October-December 2022 quarter. The Adani group company's profit after tax rose 73 per cent on a yearly basis to Rs 478 crore during the December quarter. In the same quarter of 2021, the profits were Rs 277 crore.
