Debt worries continue to remain for Adani Group: Mahantesh Sabarad - over 1 year ago
Indian markets may have already seen interest rates peak out, according to market expert Mahantesh Sabarad. Markets are also expected to overcome Monday's predicted hit of the US debt ceiling, which has occurred before, and global central bankers are predicting an end to rate hikes. The FMCG and auto indices are at an all-time high despite FMCG volumes having decreased — interest rate peaks do not necessarily have a negative effect on these sensitive sectors such as automobiles. Adani Group has posted good results, but its debt overhang has not been alleviated. The capital goods sector is expected to pick up, prompting larger cap names within this sector to be favoured.

Learn With ETMarkets: Remember Silicon Valley Bank? Here’s why you should know about Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) - over 1 year ago
The Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) is one of the key ways to analyze a bank's liquidity and to ensure its ability to withstand unforeseen situations by holding sufficient liquidity. It is calculated by dividing a bank's high-quality liquid assets by its total net cash outflows, and it reflects the sufficiency of assets a bank has to handle unexpected situations. The LCR ensures that a bank has the necessary cash to meet cash outflows over a 30-day period, allowing for the bank's customers' protection while maintaining stability. Moreover, banks and investors can access the LCR reports of banks quarterly, making it easier to evaluate their strength and resilience.

Tech mega-cap growth stocks, which benefit from lower interest rates, have led the equity market's advance. With high inflation, Congress is expected to cap spending on government programs, combined with the possibility of the Fed increasing interest rates to cool inflation, which could result in a US economic recession despite ongoing strength in the labor market, warns an asset manager Nuveen.
